WHAT IS OUR 5-YEAR PLAN?

1. To have a COMPASS representative from every affiliated school

2. To meet at every school (particularly rural schools)

3. To elect a media/publicity member. (Web page is important)

4. Parent Training Plan

5. Support P.A. & P.T.A. (Constitutions and Boards of Management)

6.To participate on the Board of National Parents Council (Post Primary)

WHAT DO WE AIM TO ACHIEVE?

1. To have a higher profile in our schools
2. To support parents
3. To support P.A. and P.T.A

WHAT ARE OUR ISSUES?

1. We have a Code of Practice that appertains to the policies of individual schools in our sector.

2. The policy is on a case-by-case basis.

3. COMPASS can only advise parents of their individual school policy. We direct them back to their school and/or obtain legal advice where necessary.

4. We can offer advice on Constitutions of P.A. / P.T.A. and Board of Management.

5. COMPASS must keep in contact with I.S.A. Teachers Unions and Department of Education and Science.
